Seniors Awarded $1000 Jim Quinet Memorial Scholarship for 2020
This years recipients are Paige Brill and Joshua Rice both graduates of Magnolia High School.
Paige is the daughter of Pamela and Ron Brill. She has maintained a 4.429 GPA while attending Magnolia High School. She participated in National Honor Society, Student Council, Student Government, Thespian Troupe #531, Sources of Srength, Fresman Mentor, A Cause for Paws, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society, Dance Committees, and Sports Camp/Clinics. Paige has volunteered in Young Life and Rotary Club in her community while attending Magnolia High School.
Johsua maintained a 4.3 GPA and was a member of National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Student Government, Kids Kollege, Mu Alpha Theta, PC/Gaming Club and Math Field Day.
He played Football, Cross Country and Track. Joshua has volunteered for Rise Against Hunger, and Rang Bells for Salvation Army to name a few of his many activities. Joshua will be attending West Virginia University in the fall and major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. He is the son of Jim and Lisa Rice.
The Scholarships are funded from proceeds of the previous Jim Quinet Memorial 5-K Runs/Walks that have been held for 10 years in Jim’s honor and generous donations from businesses and friends.
