Everet McDougal Celebrates 96th Birthday
Evert McDougal, long-time resident of New Martinsville, celebrated his 96th birthday on June 16.
Everet has lived a full and happy life, full of many great accomplishments and happy memories.
He dedicated 38 years of service to Olin Aluminum in Hannibal, Ohio, and also served in World War II. During this time, Everet worked as an X-Ray Tech, where he spent three years in the Philippines and Australia at the New Guinia 155th STA Hospital.
Evert and his wife Katherine (deceased) had five children: Edward McDougal (Linda), deceased; Donald McDougal (Jean), deceased; Brenda Fox (Marvin); Bernard (Dorothy); and Everett (Valarie). He also has 13 grandchildren and many grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren.
Everet currently resides at Genesis Health Care in New Martinsville.
His children send their well-wishes and prayers to him during this time. Daughter Brenda Fox conveyed her gratitude to God for her father saying, “Thank you, Father, for blessing him with 96 years.” She prayed for good health and protection for him during this time, expressing her desire for everything to go back to normal so the family can freely visit.
All of Everet’s children issue the following statement to their father: “We love you, Dad. Happy birthday!”
