The Wetzel County Animal Shelter recently received the benefits of generous actions. Having recently had a fund raiser where they were selling pasta, Arizona Fortney stepped in near the deadline, selling $335 worth of pasta herself, making the fund raiser profitable!

In another instance this month, the leader of the Feline Mafia (residing in Pine Grove) and owner of the late “Fuzz Ball”, recently donated a truck bed load of dog and cat supplies which the residents are currently enjoying!! Most recently the Silver Bee Bee’s 4H club were permitted by the New Martinsville Tractor Supply Company to hold a “Wag Day” fund raiser in front of their establishment.

On July 27th the group spent the day with dogs, informational literature, and a calf, collecting monetary donations at the site. $478 was collected throughout the day! The Wetzel County Animal Shelter praises and thanks these outstanding citizens for volunteering their time, efforts, & funds to help the unwanted animals of our community.
