Brian Croasmun — author of “The Clemente Ball” — also volunteered at Paden City’s Elementary School Energy Express.

The Paden City Elementary School Energy Express Site was thrilled to have two local authors volunteer their time to join them this past week. Belinda Slider-Baker is the author and illustrator of her book, “Lost Stripes, Please Return.” The students reportedly thoroughly enjoyed the story and asked several questions about the story itself, the characters, and why Mrs. Baker chose to write as well as illustrate the book.

Brian Croasmun is the author of “The Clemente Ball.” The students asked him numerous questions such as what inspired him to write the book, who the characters were, and how long it took him to complete the book. Mr. Croasmun ended his visit by signing every copy of his book for the students and mentors.

The students at Energy Express were so grateful that both authors were able to come visit with them.

Everyone at the Paden City Elementary School Site wants to extend a huge thank you to Belinda Slider-Baker and Brian Croasmun for graciously spending time with all of them, and to Teresa Standiford – Curriculum Director of Wetzel County Schools – for purchasing each student at Energy Express a copy of the book!
