Judge Cramer Hears Matters
The Honorable Judge Jeffrey Cramer addressed several matters Jan. 22 in Wetzel County Circuit Court.
Those matters are as follows:

James Willis Bright, Jr., 60, of 88E Club Road, Pleasant Plains, Arizona, entered a not guilty plea to a six-count indictment. Bright will return to court Feb. 21 for a status hearing and further proceedings.
Bright is free on bond, and bond was allowed to continue. Bright’s indictment contains one count of attempted murder and five counts of wanton endangerment.

Glen R. Anderson, 64, of 27 Mexico Lane, Reader, entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He was ordered to return to court Feb. 21, 10 a.m. for further proceedings and a status hearing, with a possible trial date to be set. Anderson was remanded back to jail, where he’s currently incarcerated.
Anderson’s eight-count indictment includes the charge of sexual assault in the first degree, two counts of sexual abuse by a custodian, sexual abuse in the first degree, three counts of distribution and display to minor of obscene matter,
and enticing minor to photograph sexually explicit conduct.
A second two-count indictment charges him with sexual abuse in the first degree and sexual abuse by a custodian.

John Wesley Blake, 48, of 8742 Mountaineer Highway, New Martinsville, will return to court Feb. 21 for a status hearing and possible trial date.
Blake entered a not guilty plea to a one-count indictment, charging him with child neglect creating risk of injury.
Judge Cramer set Blake’s bond at $1,000 personal recognizance and ordered him to go to the state police office to be fingerprinted and photographed.

Nancy Mae Cox, 35, of 8742 Mountaineer Highway, New Martinsville, pleaded not guilty to a one-count indictment, charging her with child neglect creating risk of injury.
Cox was also placed on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond; she was ordered to go to the state police office to be fingerprinted and photographed. She is to return to court on Feb. 21 for further proceedings in the case.

Ronald Lanson Wood, 40, of 1736 Doolin Run Road, New Martinsville, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him and was ordered to return to court Feb. 21, 10 a.m. He was also allowed to remain free on bond.
Wood’s attorney, Patricia Kurelac, entered a motion for bond modification, allowing Wood to work out-of-state and not have to appear for drug testing. Prosecutor Tim Haught said he wouldn’t oppose the modifications, as long as Wood is tested the day he appears in court.
Wood received an eight-count indictment from the grand jury, charging him with burglary, the misdemeanor offense of domestic battery, two counts of the misdemeanor offense of battery, the misdemeanor offense of destruction of property, two counts of strangulation, and the misdemeanor offense of unlawful restraint.

Joshua Eugene Streight, 31, of 214 S 2nd Avenue, Paden City, appeared in court Jan. 22 without an attorney. He told Judge Cramer he was ready to file a not guilty plea to a charge against him. Cramer advised Streight to try and secure legal counsel and fill out a financial affidavit to determine if he qualifies for a court-appointed attorney.
Streight said he works for a local union and just found out he owes another attorney a large sum of money. Streight said that attorney won’t represent him. Cramer ordered Streight to return to court Feb. 6 for a status hearing. He was allowed to remain free on bond.
Streight was charged in a one-count indictment with malicious assault.

Brandon Scott Lloyd, 33, of Route 1 Box 219, West Union, entered a not guilty plea to a two-count indictment. He is to return to court Feb. 21 for further proceedings in the case. He is presently incarcerated at the Northern Regional Jail, under a $10,000 cash/surety bond. Prosecutor Haught told the court if Lloyd makes bail, Haught would like it to be a probation office supervised bond. Judge Cramer agreed. Lloyd was remanded to jail.
Lloyd had received a two-count indictment, charging him with fleeing from an officer in a vehicle and gross child neglect creating risk of death or serious bodily injury.

Lewis Ray Anderson, 24, of 6310 McElroy Creek Road, West Union, pleaded not guilty to one charge against him. He was ordered to return to court on Feb. 21 for a status hearing and further proceedings. His bond was allowed to continue.
Anderson was given a one-count indictment, charging him with failure to update sex offender registry information.

Denzil R. Owens, 38, of 308 Fair Street, Middlebourne, appeared in court alongside Attorney Brent Clyburn. He entered a not guilty plea to the charge against him. He is to return to court Feb. 21 for further proceedings. With no objection, his bond was allowed to continue.
Owens is charged by the grand jury in a one-count indictment, with failure to register as a sex offender.

Nicholas Chad Fletcher, 39, of 245 Lemley Ridge Road, Littleton, entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He was represented by Attorney David White, who was filling in for Attorney Kevin Neiswonger. He is to return to court Feb. 21 for further proceedings.
Fletcher is currently incarcerated. Attorney Haught advised the court that if Fletcher makes bond, to have it supervised by the probation office. Judge Cramer agreed. Fletcher was remanded to jail.
Fletcher received two indictments from the grand jury. The first indictment charges him with burglary and grand larceny. A separate, one-count, indictment charges Fletcher with fleeing from an officer.

Codey Allen Baters, 31, of 44493 State Route 7, Clarington, Ohio, did not show up for his hearing on Jan. 22. A capias warrant was issued for his arrest.
Baters was charged through a two-count indictment with entry of a building other than a dwelling and misdemeanor petit larceny, to have occurred on or about November 10, 2018.

Jeffery Allan Starkey, 54, of New Martinsville, appeared in court and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He will return to court Feb. 21 for further proceedings. Starkey, who is on bond, was allowed to remain free – pending the next hearing.
Starkey received a four-count indictment, charging him with possession of a controlled substance (psilocybin mushrooms) with intent to deliver, misdemeanor driving while revoked for DUI, misdemeanor expired registration, and misdemeanor no insurance.

Randall Wayne Yoho, 58, of 732 American Ridge Road, New Martinsville, entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. Judge Cramer set a return date for Feb. 21, 10 a.m. Yoho was allowed to remain free on his bond, pending the next hearing.
Yoho was given a three-count indictment, charging him with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled narcotic substance (Xanax) with intent to deliver, and possession of a controlled substance (Tramadol) with intent to deliver.

Natasha Lynn Tedrow, 27, of 632 Maple Avenue, New Martinsville, pleaded not guilty to the charges against her. She will return to court Feb. 21 for a status hearing. She is currently on bond, and the bond will continue. She will remain under the supervision of the probation office. Tedrow is represented by Attorney Ferro.
Tedrow received a three-count indictment, containing charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamines) with intent to deliver, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and false evidence of registration.

Jenna Kay Erb, 38, of 253 Chelsea Street, Sistersville, entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her. She will return to court Feb. 21 for further proceedings. She was formally arraigned and ordered to go to the New Martinsville Police Department for fingerprinting and a photograph. Erb’s bond was set at $1,000 personal recognizance, and she was allowed to remain free on bond, pending her next hearing.
Erb received a three-count indictment from the grand jury, charging her with burglary and two counts of misdemeanor destruction of property.

Michael Lee Erb, 32, of 101 Evans Street, New Matamoras, Ohio (homeless) pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. He will return to court Feb. 21 for a return date on the charges. He was remanded to jail under the condition that if he makes bond, he will be under the supervision of the probation office. Erb is represented by Attorney Ferro.
Erb received a three-count indictment, charging him with grand larceny, unlawful taking of vehicle (joyriding) – third or subsequent offense, and receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle.

Kristi Rhena Fox-Hall, 35, of 46 Anson Street Apt. 7, New Martinsville, pleaded no guilty to the charges against her. She will return to court Feb. 21 for further proceedings. She was remanded to jail. If she makes bond, she will be placed under probation office supervision.
Fox-Hall is charged in a two-count indictment with burglary and grand larceny, to have occurred on or about September 22, 2018.

Amanda Nicole Dennis, 37, of 24423 Energy Highway, New Martinsville, appeared in court without counsel. Judge Cramer tentatively appointed Ferro as counsel.
Because Dennis lives in Florida, Prosecutor Tim Haught asked the court to set bond at $2,500. Haught stated if Dennis failed to appear for her next hearing, it would cost the county to have her extradited.
Judge Cramer said he was going to set the bond at $1,000 personal recognizance. He said Dennis had commuted all the way for this hearing, and he believes she will appear for the next one. She was ordered to go to the Paden City Police Department to be fingerprinted and photographed. Dennis will return to court Feb. 21.
Dennis received a one-count indictment from the grand jury, charging her with embezzlement.

George Patrick Hallowell, 49, of 131 Commercial Street, New Martinsville, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. He was ordered to return to court Feb. 21 for a status hearing. Bond was set at $1,000 personal recognizance.
Hallowell has been charged with uttering false bill or note, to have occurred on September 13, 2018.

Michael Tryone Blare, 35, of 957 Husky Highway, Fairmont, pleaded not guilty to the charge against him. He will return to court Feb. 21 and is represented by Attorney Ferro. His bond was allowed to continue.
Blare was given a one-count indictment, charging him with driving while revoked for DUI – third offense.

Randy Lee Cline, 50, of 607 N 7th Avenue, Paden City, pleaded not guilty to his charges, and he was ordered to return to court Feb. 21 for further proceedings. He is currently on bond, which was allowed to continue.
Cline, represented by Ferro, was given a two-count indictment, charging him with driving while revoked for DUI – third offense and fleeing from an officer.
