Pine Grove Continues Response To Line Rupture
8:32 p.m., Dec. 6 — At around 8 p.m., Pine Grove officials gave the following statement via the town’s social media page:
“The workers have finished repairing the water line and the water should be back on soon!”

3:07 p.m., Dec. 6 — Parts of Pine Grove’s water service area have been without water for 24 hours as the town’s workforce is repairing a water line rupture. The rupture occurred the morning of Dec. 5, due to a vehicle accident.
According to Pine Grove officials, the line was located 15 inches under concrete. The crew stopped working on repairs at midnight, Dec. 6 and was expected to begin work again today at 6 a.m.
Mayor Richard Price had noted, via the town’s Facebook page, that the water line broke horizontally and “runs 200 yards.”

Dec. 5 — A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the Town of Pine Grove’s North Fork Road/Morgan and Stone Addition.
The reasoning for the boil order is that a six-inch water line ruptured/line being repaired.
It was noted that the problem is anticipated to be resolved within 72 hours, and the boil order is precautionary.
