Sivert Memorial Scholarship Benefit Ride To Be Held On May 5
The Fourth Annual Scholarship Benefit Ride, in memory of Davie Sivert, will be held May 5, with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. The first bike out will be at 11 a.m. The ride will begin at Short Line School in Reader.
To reach SLS from New Martinsville, take state Route 7 to state Route 20. Follow the signs.
From the Clarksburg area, take U.S. Route 50 to Wilsonburg Road to state Route 20. Follow the signs.
There will be a 50/50 drawing.

Cost is $10 per bike, with $5 for each additional rider.
After battling cancer, Silvert passed away on Nov. 26, 2014 at the age of 21.
He was a 2011 graduate of Valley High School, a four-year letter winner in football, and was chosen to play in the 2011 OVAC All-Star Football Game. He was a certified welder whose hobbies included hunting, fishing, welding, and riding his four-wheeler and buggy.
He was the son of David and Connie Sivert, and the brother of Brittany Sivert.
