Brian Price of Paden City Seeks Seat on Board of Education
Brian Price of Paden City is seeking 1 of 3 seats on the Wetzel County Board of Education to be elected during the May 8th Primary.
Brian has been a dedicated volunteer at our local schools for several years and is excited to bring that same energy to the Board of Education. Whether it was promoting the performing arts, reading at quiz bowls, working with the social studies fair, or chaperoning students as they visited Washington DC, he has always sought ways to help and encourage the youth of Wetzel County. Brian believes, “Encouraging a quality education for the youth of Wetzel County will help secure their personal futures and strengthen our community in the process.”
As a board member Brian will work to:
* Promote productive relationships between the community and Board of Education
* Promote a positive working environment for our dedicated teachers, administrators, and service personnel
* Promote a quality education for all Wetzel County students
“Whether it be a vocational path or the pursuit of higher education, we should do our best to provide the tools and skills necessary for success.” Brian plans to be a visible and accessible board member. “My goal will be to treat everyone with the respect necessary to resolve challenges, promote success, and see that our educational system is the highest quality possible.”
Brian was born and raised in Wetzel County, and graduated Paden City High School in 1987. His father, the late Warren Price, was part of the first graduating class in 1952. His mother, Mary Horner Price, was a graduate of Magnolia High School in 1957. He has always considered Wetzel County home and was excited to bring his family back to Paden City in 2011. His wife Debra presently serves as Director of Bands at both Paden City Elementary and Paden City High School. They have three children. Samuel was a 2016 graduate of PCHS and is currently studying computer engineering at WVU. Isaac is a senior and is planning to study music education at WVU. Rachel is a freshman and is avidly involved in the arts programs. Brian currently serves as a Minister with the Paden City Church of Christ.
“With gratitude, I seek the support of the citizens of Wetzel County in the upcoming election.”
