Richmond Charged With Possession
Ryan Richmond, 24, of New Martinsville, has been arrested and charged with alleged drug-related offenses, according to the Wetzel County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office issued a statement on Dec. 6, stating that on Dec. 5, 10:45 a.m., officers received a tip regarding possible drug activity.
Chief Deputy Rob Hayes and Deputy Mike Neff responded to a Wetzel County residence and seized a “sizeable amount of suspected Heroin and a small amount of methamphetamine,” as well as a small amount of cash.
Richmond was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver a schedule I narcotic. He was then transported to the Northern Regional Jail.
The sheriff’s department also clarified that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
A hearing will be pending.
