The Wetzel County Animal Shelter Supporters, Inc. will be holding a Silent Auction and Lasagna Dinner on Nov. 11 at the Mollohan Center, located at the 4H camp in Wetzel County.

Bidding will open at 4 p.m. and close at 6:30 p.m. Winners will be announced at 7 p.m. You must be present at 7 p.m. to be eligible to win.

Refreshments will be sold at 4 p.m., and musical guest Ben Tharp will entertain from 4:15-5:15 p.m. Lasagna dinner will be served from 5:20 to 6:30 p.m. The dinner consits of homemade three-cheese lasagna, Witschey’s homemade cheese rolls, tossed salad, choice of dessert, and drink.

Tickets for the meal are $9 for adults and $5 for children under nine. A ticket also makes you eligible for door prizes given away throughout the evening!

Tickets can be purchased from a WCASS, Inc. volunteer at the shelter, Mountain Valley Veterinary Clinic, or at the door the night of the event.

Photo Provided Pictured are just some of the goodies available at Wetzel County Animal Shelter Supports’ Silent Auction and Lasagna Dinner.

The event will be a true silent auction with bids on paper by the items. If you want an item and someone writes a higher bid, you write the next higher amount to beat the bid on the provided sheets. WCASS is excited about the items they are collecting and the baskets that will be up for auction. All the baskets put together will be themed, something for everyone, and would make great pre-wrapped gifts for the holidays. Some baskets that will be auctioned will be WVU basket, Pittsburgh Pirates, Magnolia High School, OSU, Gardening, Dog Lovers, Cat Lovers, Gym Junkie, Wine Lovers, Coffee Lovers, Children themed baskets, Car Care Baskets, Hair Affair, Avon, and many others still in the works. There will also be many wonderful gift certificates such as a year’s worth of free Panera Bread valued at $300, Disney Hopper tickets valued at $684, $100 doggy vet care, tickets to events around the Ohio Valley, Oil changes, tire rotations, Numerous free restaurant gift certificates, and many others – too numerous to list! A few of the items will be a brand new Ruger 1022 semi-automatic rifle with a stainless barrel with black and grey stock, Polarized sunglasses valued from $99 to $160, jewelry, make-up, wreaths, floral arrangements, car care items, dog beds, and so much more.

In addition to food, entertainment and the auction, there will be six Chinese auction baskets, and a 50/50 you can take chances on.

Rosetta Cozart encourages anyone who loves animals and would like a fun, calm way to do their Christmas shopping – or simply have a fun evening – to attend this event.

“This is our only fund raising event in 2017 and all monies will go directly to the care of the homeless, unwanted, and neglected dogs in need in our area,” Cozart said.
