It is time, once more, for area residents to help stuff the cruiser of New Martinsville Police Department Chief Tim Cecil!

This is the second year in a row that NMPD and Cecil will join forces with The Gabriel Project’s Wetzel County site. Linda Barth, of the Gabriel Project, encourages shoppers on Friday, Oct. 13 to make donations of baby items to help local needy babies. The event will last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Items accepted are as follows: baby food or pouches, baby cereal, baby bottle sets or sippy cups, pacifiers and teethers, diapers (sizes 2, 3, 4, 5) or pull-ups, wipes, diaper creme, baby bath wash, baby washcloths and towels, all baby safety items, baby gate, and all shoes/boots/socks/a nd slippers.

The Gabriel Project also welcomes monetary donations and gift cards.

The project is always available to provide emotional support, information about child care, and they even make referrals to other social service organizations. The Gabriel Project is always in need of volunteers as well. Also, check out “Gabriel Project Wetzel Site” on Facebook.

The project is located at 515 Maple Avenue in New Martinsville, and can be reached by calling 304-398-4156 or (681) 302-8413.
