Wetzel County Hopes and Memories includes individuals touched in some way by cancer. Members have loved ones who have fought and won the battle, as well as loved ones who have fought and lost.
“We all have battled this disease,” notes the group’s statement.
The organization is a non-profit in Wetzel County, and the group’s mission is to alleviate some of the hardship and strain brought to families when someone they love is diagnosed with cancer. The group’s goal is to raise enough money to help cancer patients in the county with financial burdens they face while receiving treatments. Some ways to help are through funds to help with travel to and from treatment, accommodations, or perhaps a utility bill.
