The Olde Schoolhouse Craft & Antique Shoppes, located at 37184 Mound Street in Sardis, Ohio, is celebrating two years of creativity and craftiness on April 1. The open house will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature refreshments, door prizes, and store specials.

There is definitely something for everyone at this treasure trove, tucked away at the south end of Sardis.

Owner Mary Ash and several of her creative comrades have filled every nook and cranny of the store’s space, located in the Sardis community center – the old Sardis elementary school. The room is accented with the scent of scrumptious smelling scent bars for candle warmers, and the handcrafted quilts, wreaths, and other decor and “pretties” make for a cozy, heartwarming ambience.

Despite the business’ popularity, Ash doesn’t foresake her beginnings. One would be hard-pressed to find better prices on the elegant creations.

She quickly recalls how she had prayed for just one year of success.

She was concerned about affording the rent for her business; thus, she opened her doors to fellow crafters.

This resulted in an endless array of gifts… From small, dainty pillows to hand-quilted squares, ornaments, wooden signs, Fiesta Ware and more… Ash’s shop ensures that a gift for that special someone who means the most to you is the perfect one.
