Lively Selected As Candidate for Award

Mr. Leslie Lively, a fourth grade teacher at Short Line School, has been selected as a candidate for this year’s Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching Program in science. Mr. Lively and the two other West Virginia candidates will be recognized at the West Virginia Science Teachers Association conference in October and will be evaluated by the National Science Foundation at the next level. No stranger to national recognition, Mr. Lively and his students have been Elementary School Champion and Runner-Up in the National Energy Education Development (N.E.E.D.) Project the last two years. Congratulations Mr. Lively!
