Running a campaign that promised transparency, accessibility, and accountability if elected, Joel Davis won the Paden City mayor’s race on Thursday, June 2 by a landslide vote of 255-96. Davis won all three wards with his biggest margin coming from the first ward where he outdistanced his opponent Clyde Hochstrasser 69-16.

“I would like to thank all those who voted for and have put their faith in me,” Davis said of the victory.

“I also want to thank those who didn’t vote for me, for I will also be your mayor. I will do the best job I can, but I will also be calling on the residents of Paden City to help the community,” he added.

“With ownership comes pride. It’s going to take work, but I am ready to lead Paden City into the future.”
