Art Show And Sale Continues

Wetzel County High Schools Art Show and Sale has begun and will continue through Thursday, April 7. The event is being held at the First Christian Church’s Disciple Center, located on Maple Avenue in New Martinsville. Hours are 1-7 p.m.

Judging of exhibits occurred this past weekend. Best of Show was awarded to Magnolia High School’s art department, which received $500 and a ribbon. Other awards included the following: first place, Paden City High School; second place, Valley High School, and third place, Hundred High School. First place received $300, second place received $100, and third place received $50.

The following individual student awards were given: Taylor Cline of MHS, first place; Trey Baker of MHS second place; Jacob Pierce of Paden City, third place; and Samantha Yoho of VHS, honorable mention.

First place received $150, second place received $100, third received $75 and honorable mention, $50.
