Quinn to Get 2nd Evaluation

By Staff | Feb 10, 2016

PADEN?CITY?- The murder case involving Jessica Quinn, 36, of Paden City, will return to court March 4, 9 a.m. when the court is expected to receive more information regarding psychological evaluations.

While the defense in the case maintains that Quinn has a mental defect that can cause certain behaviors, the state intends to have its own expert administer an evaluation on Quinn. The state’s evaluators will follow the same course as the defense’s expert.

An answer, from the defense, is also anticipated as to what specific mental condition Quinn allegedly possesses.

It was also noted that Quinn’s former attorney, John Treadway, has withdrawn from the case. Attorney Kevin Neiswonger has filed a notice of appearance stating that he is now representing Quinn.

Quinn is accused of fatally shooting Kevin “K.C.” Thompson on her porch last summer, in Paden City. Quinn was charged by the September 2015 Wetzel County Grand Jury with murder and wanton endangerment.
