14 Charged With Drug-Related Offenses by Grand Jury

The January 2016 session of the Wetzel County Grand Jury met behind closed doors on January 13, 2016 and have returned approximately 80 true bills.

Two indictments remain sealed as of press time.

Defendants will return to court Jan. 27 to be arraigned before the Honorable Judge Jeffrey D. Cramer.

George T. Anderson, 48, of Route 1 Box 408A, New Martinsville, was handed down a four-count indictment by the January 2016 Grand Jury.

Counts one and two charge Anderson with delivery of a controlled substance (hydrocodone). These offenses allegedly occurred on December 11 and December 19, respectively, of 2014.

Counts three and four charge Anderson with delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (oxycodone). These offenses allegedly occurred on or about January16 and January 19, respectively of 2015.

Ethan Tyler Blizzard, 21, of 131 South Main Street, New Martinsville, was charged with delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (heroin) and conspiracy to deliver a controlled narcotic substance (heroin). These offenses allegedly occurred on or about July 17, 2014.

Kaley Edgell, 32, of HC 68 Box 30, Littleton, was charged with one count of delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (buprenorphine). This offense allegedly occurred on or about February 11, 2015.

Darrell Gray, 58, of 625 1/2 Kappel Street, New Martinsville, received a one-count indictment charging him with conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, (methamphetamine). This offense allegedly occurred on or about January 27, 2015.

Dathan Kimble, 31, of 1469 Hornet Highway, Hundred, was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled narcotic substance (heroin) and delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (heroin). These offenses allegedly occurred on or about February 11, 2015.

Caleb M. McCune, 20, of 141 Fairview Drive, New Martinsville, was handed down two indictments by the January 2016 Grand Jury. A one-count indictment charges McCune with delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (heroin), allegedly to have occurred on or about March 28, 2015.

A second indictment contains two charges against McCune, conspiracy to deliver a controlled narcotic substance (heroin) and delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (heroin). These offenses allegedly occurred on or about July 22, 2014.

Robert Leo Kernan, 36, of 615 Kappel Street Ext., New Martinsville, was charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and one count of conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Counts one and two are alleged to have occurred on or about January 26, 2015. Counts three and four are alleged to have occurred on or about January 27, 2015.

Cody Edward Longwell, 30, of 39154 Goddard Ridge Road, Sardis, Ohio, was charged with a one-count indictment, charging him with delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (heroin).

Steven Fredrick Postlethwait, 25, of 841 Haddox Run Road, Pennsboro, was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), both to have occurred on or about January 5, 2015.

Christine Robinson, 36, of Post Office Box 241, Littleton, was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled narcotic substance (heroin) and delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (heroin), both to have occurred on or about February 11, 2015.

William J. Sisson, 23, of 187 North State Route 2, Apt. A104, New Martinsville, was handed a five-count indictment, charging him with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance (methamphetamine). This offense allegedly occurred on January 5, 2015.

Count two charges Sisson with delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), to have occurred on or about January 5, 2015.

Counts three, four, and five charge Sisson with delivery of a counterfeit narcotic substance (heroin). These three offenses allegedly occurred on or about December 2, October 28, and September 22, in 2014.

Latisha Alena Thompson, 30, of 126 Pike Street, New Martinsville, received a three-count indictment charging her with drug-related offenses. Count one charges Thompson with possession of a controlled substance (methylphenidate) with intent to deliver, to have occurred on or about June 25, 2015. Counts two and three, also alleged to have occurred on or about June 25, 2015, charge Thompson with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance (acid/LSD).

Tasheena Lynn Thompson, 27, of 126 Pike Street, New Martinsville, received two indictments from the grand jury. One indictment contains two charges, conspiracy to deliver a controlled narcotic substance (heroin) and delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (heroin). These offenses allegedly occurred on or about January 2, 2013.

A separate two-count indictment charges Tasheena with conspiracy to deliver a controlled narcotic substance (heroin) and delivery of a controlled narcotic substance (heroin). Both of these counts are to have occurred on or about July 22, 2014.

Michael Richard Martin, 25, of 306 North First Avenue, Paden City, received a one-count indictment by the grand jury. This one count charges him with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) with intent to deliver.

This offense allegedly occurred on or about August 21, 2015.

Charles Phillip Shanabarger, 41, of 28 Rose Street Lot 37, New Martinsville, was handed down a two-count indictment from the January 2016 Grand Jury.

Shanabarger was charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana) and delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana); both offenses are alleged to have occurred on or about January 14, 2014.

Cody Allen Baters, 28, of 44493 State Route 7, Clarington, Ohio, received a two-count indictment; both charge him with third offense driving revoked for DUI. Count one allegedly occurred on August 9, 2015, while count two allegedly occurred on November 16, 2015.

Baters had previously been convicted of “driving under OVI suspension” on March 23, 2011 in Belmont County, Ohio and on February 17, 2010 in Monroe County, Ohio.

Robert Brad London, 36, of 819 5th Street, Apt. 1, New Martinsville, was handed down a 14-count indictment by the January 2016 Grand Jury. London was charged with several sexual offenses.

Count one charges London with display of obscene matter to a minor, to have occurred between September 18, 2009 and September 18, 2011.

Counts two, five, eight, and 11 charge London with sexual assault in the first degree, to have occurred between September 18, 2009 and September 18, 2011.

Counts three, six, nine, and 12 charge London with sexual abuse, to have occurred between September 18, 2009 and September 18, 2011. Count 14 charges sexual abuse, alleged to have occurred between February 1, 2015 and February 31, 2015.

Counts four, seven, 10, and 13 charge him with incest, to have occurred between September 18, 2009 and September 18, 2011.

James Robert Bradley, 44, of Post Office Box 9, Reader, was charged with display of obscene matter to a minor. This offense allegedly occurred on or about June 28, 2014.

Sean David Grimm, 29, of 1232 Clencairn Road, Weirton, was charged with malicious assault, to have allegedly occurred on or about November 8, 2015.

James A. Haught, 21, of 717 Sixth Street, New Martinsville, was handed down a six-count indictment.

All six charges allege that Haught committed the felony offense of “sexual assault in the third degree,” to have occurred between January 1, 2013 and April 30, 2015.

Marvin D. Highley, Jr., 22, 702 Maple Avenue, New Martinsville, was charged with third offense domestic battery, to have occurred on or about June 10, 2015.

Highley was previously convicted of “domestic battery” in the Magistrate court of Wetzel County on or about December 7, 2011 and in the Magistrate Court of Wetzel County on or about July 25, 2012.

Kevin Ray Morgan, 40, of 3100 Lynn Camp Road, New Martinsville, was given a two-count indictment by the grand jury. Morgan was given two counts of third offense driving revoked for DUI, to have occurred July 19, 2015 and August 19, 2015, respectively. Morgan had been previously convicted of “Driving Revoked for DUI” in the Magistrate Court of Wetzel County on or about September 10, 2014 and in the Magistrate Court of Tyler County, on or about September 29, 2009.

Darren William Oliver, 26, of 622 North Sixth Avenue, Paden City, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol – third offense, to have allegedly occurred on or about May 23, 2015.

Oliver was previously convicted of “Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol” in Wetzel County Magistrate Court on or about February 26, 2013 and on or about June 27, 2013.

Justin David Poling, 38, of 55 West Thistle Drive, New Martinsville, was charged with nighttime burglary, stalking, and petit larceny, all to have occurred on or about June 24, 2015.

Tonya Snow Rush, 41, of 166 Pike Street, New Martinsville, was handed down three indictments by the January 2016 Grand Jury.

One indictment charges Rush with nine counts of “fraudulent use of an access device,” to have occurred on different dates in March 2015.

The counts allege that Rush used the victim’s debit card for several unauthorized purchases, as well as ATM withdrawals. The following are the amounts and New Martinsville area establishments where Rush allegedly defrauded the victim: $109.50, Wal-Mart; $66.59, Wal-Mart; $37.01, Speedway Store; $110.35, Wal-Mart; $105.27, Wal-Mart; $502.00, Peoples Bank ATM in Wal-Mart; $502.75, Wesbanco ATM at New Martinsville Plaza; $38, Mayo’s Exxon; $203, GoMart Store.

Rush’s second indictment contains a charge of conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana). This offense allegedly occurred on January 14, 2014.

Rush’s third indictment charges her with misdemeanor second offense shoplifting. This alleged offense occurred on or about June 17, 2015 at New Martinsville’s Wal-Mart. Rush was previously convicted of shoplifting in the municipal court of New Martinsville on or about April 21, 2012.
