Visitors to the local area will soon have another option when booking a hotel as Microtel Inn & Suites, located along Route 2 where Bruce Lanes previously stood, is set to open May 2016.

Todd Schirtzinger, Vice President of Hotel Operations and VP of Sales and Marketing, for Century Hospitality said his company wanted to have a presence in New Martinsville.

“It seemed like an underserved market and being in the Wheeling area where our corporate headquarters are at, we are near the immediate area,” he stated.

The Microtel Inn & Suites is expected to have 77 units. It will also have one meeting room that can accommodate up to 35 people, a breakfast area that serves a complimentary breakfast to the hotel’s guests every morning, a 24-hour exercise room for the hotel’s guests, a business center, free Wi-Fi in all guestrooms, and an on-site guest laundry facility.

Schirtzinger said New Martinsville’s Microtel Inn & Suites would be the 10th hotel for Century Hospitality.

“We are very excited to be in the New Martinsville market and be a part of the community. We are also very excited to bring the Microtel Inn & Suites brand to the market as we feel it will be a great new option for guest traveling to the area,” Schirtzinger said.
