Moose Lodge Donates 10 Bullet Proof Vests

New Martinsville Moose Lodge 931 donated 10 bullet proof vests to the New Martinsville Police Department. The vest came to the police department through a program called Save Surfin’. Rich Erelwine, Administrator of the Moose Lodge, stated that this was a total lodge effort. New Martinsville Police Chief Tim Cecil thanked the moose lodge for providing the vest to the department.

“Thank you for protecting our guys. We really appreaciate it. I have a great group of officers … They are not stopping or backing down,” said Cecil.

Bruce Johnson of Security System Unlimited will donate a cruiser camera to the police department as well.

Receiving the two of the 10 bullet proof vest were Patrolman Brad Mason and Patrolwoman Coutney Smith.
