Nine Educators Lauded For Lengthly Careers

Nine retirees with a total of 217 years of experience were recognized at the June 15 meeting of the Wetzel County Board of Education. The individuals, and their positions, were as follows: Teresa Starcher Burgey, classroom aide at Magnolia High School with 18 years of experience; Kimberly A. Sobataka, pre-school special needs teacher at the Wetzel County Center for Children and Families with 35 years of experience; Regina E. Mason, elementary teacher at New Martinsville School with 35 years of experience; Daniel R. Westfall, bus operator with 11 years of experience; Carol Ann Archer, certification and records coordinator at the County Office with 14 years of experience; Rebecca J. Moore, special education teacher at Magnolia High School with 37 years of experience; Shirley A. Helmick, cook at New Martinsville School and Magnolia High School with 16 years of experience; Johanna Lemasters, kindergarten teacher at Long Drain School with 41 years of experience, and Carolyn Hostutler, classroom aide at Long Drain School with 10 years of experience.
