Managed Timberland is a tax incentive program offered by the State. The State of West Virginia recognizes the value of managing this resource. The appraised value of Class II, III, and/or IV, forested property is reduced under the Managed Timberland Incentive Program.
Qualifications and Guidelines do apply; Initial contract is due by July 1, of each year, to the Department of Forestry.
