Several personnel and routine matters were approved at the Monday, May 4 meeting of the Wetzel County Board of Education.

Personnel Matters:

Employment and/or Changes in Employment:

Retirements and/or Resignations:

Michael S. Shank, acceptance of resignation from position as half-time math teacher at New Martinsville School, effective June 30.

Professional Personnel: Chelsie A. Allen, approval for employment as countywide substitute teacher, effective May 5. non-certified.

Michaella L. Goddard, approval for change in assignment from the 2015-2016 transfer list to pre-school special needs teacher at NMS, effective Aug. 11.

Amber D. Tusin, approval for change in assignment from the 2015-2016 transfer list to first grade teacher at Short Line School, effective Aug. 11.

Service Personnel:

Brenda K. Brookover, approval for change in assignment from half-time secretary II at NMS, 536/E (220-day contract) and half-time secretary III at county office, 537/F (230-day contract) to secretary II at Paden City Elementary, 536/E (220-day contract), effective the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year for 220 day employees.

Christopher L. McGinnis, approval for change in assignment from bus operator, bus #49, Sancho/Burton/Pogue Run, 655/D, to “Temporary” bus operator, bus #14-4, Proctor/Grandview/North Paden City/WCCCF, 655/D, effective May 5.

John S. Littleton, approval for employment as Countywide Summer, effective June 15.

Guy K. Pilant, approval l for employment as assistant football coach at Magnolia High School, effective the beginning of the 2015-2016 WVSSAC season. non-certified.
