Police Obtain Douglas
Matthew William Douglas, 28, was picked up by the New Martinsville Police Department Dec. 11 on a capias warrant issued in September.
Douglas was originally indicted by the September 2014 grand jury. However, his indictments had been sealed at the time.
Prosecuting Attorney Timothy Haught reported that Douglas’ indictments were unsealed in late September so Douglas could be entered into the National Crime Information Center. Douglas was handed down two indictments: one charges him with delivery of a controlled substance (heroin); the other charges him with conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance (heroin).
Douglas was arraigned Dec. 18 and bond was set at $45,000-$15,00 cash for each of his three counts.
Haught noted that Douglas also has charges pending in Marshall County.
