Truck Catches Fire On Black Friday

By Staff | Dec 3, 2014

Black Friday shoppers were undoubtedly startled at this sight on Fourth Street in New Martinsville, behind Rite Aid. New Martinsville Fire Chief Larry Couch said the truck had been having some electrical problems and had stopped running a couple times. Then suddenly the truck began smoking and the fire broke out. The driver and passenger utilized a neighbor’s garden hose to begin dousing the fire before the NMVFD arrived. No one was injured in the incident. (Photo by Bruce Crawford)
