Winning Weather Graces Fest

The Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Chili-Fest held in downtown New Martinsville Saturday was a resounding success. The perfect fall weather enticed many area residents to Main Street for the event.

A complete list of winners is as follows.

Corn hole tournament: first place, Barry Suter and Bob Baxter; second place, Greg Morris and Ryan Morris; and third place, Ralph Smith and Brett Wade.

Queens choices: chili, CAM Safety; car show, Ron Conley, 71 Camaro; box car show, Gia Romesburg; costume, Rollin Smoke; best table, Amanda Jo Ice Scholarship.

Costume parade winners, ages birth to two: first place, Zander Rice; second place, Rosalia Simpkins; third place, Jackson Bucy.

Costume parade winners, ages three to five: first place, Rylee Harrison; second place, Andrew Witschey; third place, Annie Westbrook

Costume parade winners, ages six to nine: first place, Bailey Slie; second place, Mallory McDiffitt; third place, Patricia Sellers

Costume parade winners, ages 10 to 12: first place, Mallory Hindman; second place, Jesse Coulter; third place, Garrett Wetzel.

Hot pepper eating contest: Hannah Benson.
