Alternative Education

Program:

Approval to participate in the West Virginia Board of Education Alternative Education Program for Disruptive Students for the 2014-2015 school year in the amount of $48,554.

Approval of survey request:

Approval of request from ET Rover Pipeline LLC to conduct a linear survey on a 0.23 acre piece of ground located on Dutch Run, owned by Wetzel County Schools.

Participation of

home-schooled student:

Approval of request from Wayne Cooper, parent of home-schooled student Nathanael Cooper, to participate in physical education, STAR testing for

reading and math, and other related services at SLS for the 2014-2015 school year.

Tabled issue:

Approval to lay tabled issue (‘Item 4’, Sept. 15 board agenda), out-of-county request for attendance from back on the table for discussion and approval. The board agreed to uphold the superintendent’s recommendations and not approve of the request for attendance, due to transportation issues.

The board approved, on second reading, Wetzel County Policy IGB, Alternative Education Programs for Disruptive Students; and deleted Wetzel County Policy IGBH, Alternative Education Programs for Disruptive Students.
