Center District May Be Assigned To PSD
Rich Healy of Belomar Regional Council, along with Tony Parks of the Grandview/Doolin Public Service District approached Wetzel County Commissioners Tuesday morning in regards to expanding the Grandview/Doolin Public Service District.
Parks requests that the Grandview/Doolin PSD be assigned Center district. He said he saw no issue with this first request, due to the fact that Center district currently belongs to no PSD. Grandview/Doolin is the entity that should have ownership though.
However, Parks also requested at Tuesday’s meeting that Grandview/Doolin also be allowed to pick up the Church and Clay districts in the Hundred/Littleton Public Service District. Part of Grandview/Doolin PSD’s plans for expansion involve installing a water tank in the Church district. Installing a tank here would furnish approximately seven more customers with water, including Long Drain School.
Parks stated that a public meeting needs to be held in regards to picking up the Church and Clay districts; however, Grandview/Doolin PSD first needs to acquire a letter granting approval from Hundred/Littleton PSD. Parks and Healy will return to the commission with an update on Dec. 31, 9:30 a.m.
In another matter, County Clerk Carol Haught stated that the commission’s weekly meeting next week has been moved to Dec. 23, 9:30 a.m.
