Two defendants will return to Wetzel County Circuit Court Nov. 8, 1:15 p.m., in regards to alleged probation violations.

Kristica Skelley, 31, of 714 North Fourth Avenue, Paden City, was last in court April 30, 2012, where she was sentenced to 30 days in Northern Regional Jail for violation of her probation.

On Oct. 3, 2011, Skelley was sentenced to one to 15 years in the West Virginia Penitentiary for Women with credit for 11 days served for possession of a controlled substance (heroin) with intent to deliver. However, the execution of her sentence was suspended for two years supervised probation.

On Jan. 25, 2012, during a random drug screen, Skelley had tested positive for opiates and oxycodone. On Feb. 4, 2012, there was confirmation that Skelley had tested positive for 3,552 nanograms, 50 is the amount allowable.

On Feb. 24, 2012, it was learned that in addition to the petition filed to revoke Skelley’s probation, an amendment was presented regarding her having contact with a person under indictment.

Rebecca Watson, 27, of P.O. Box 552, Pine Grove, was last in court Oct. 19, 2012, when her prison sentence was reduced and she was placed on two years supervised probation.

On April 30, 2012, Watson had pleaded guilty to one count of forgery and one count of uttering. She was sentenced to one to 10 years in the West Virginia Penitentiary for Women where she was to also receive drug counseling and treatment. During this previous court appearance, a tearful Watson had apologized for “wasting the court’s time and hurting my mother.”

On Oct. 19, 2012, an emotional Watson had thanked the prosecution for agreeing to a reduction in sentence.
