The rain may have dampened the mood early at the Festival of Memories in downtown New Martinsville, but it cleared up just in time for the bulk of the activities, held this year in the late afternoon, evening. The rain didn’t slow down these Civil War period actors from bringing their explosive piece of history to life. The hourly firing of the cannon over the Ohio River in the grassy area behind WesBanco was certainly a hit and provided some punctuation to the festival!
