The town of Wileyville can feel a bit safer as the Wileyville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department recently purchased a brand new rescue truck to replace their 1977 van.

The state of the art fire and rescue truck was purchased from Finley Fire Equipment out of McConersville, Ohio. With the purchase of the truck, the 17-member Wileyville department will have two fire trucks and one rescue truck at their disposal if needed.

This is their 39th year as a volunteer organization and would like to invite everyone to their annual Wileyville Homecoming celebration Saturday, July 13. More information on the celebration can be found in the advertisement on page 8A and will be printed on the front page of next week’s Wetzel Chronicle.
