Two defendants entered pleas of innocence in Wetzel County Circuit Court June 12 before the Honorable Judge David W. Hummel

Dalton Andrew Crohn, 19, of 42 Crystal Lane, Bridgeport, W.Va., entered a plea of innocence to his indictment, which charges him with felony entry of a building other than a dwelling and misdemeanor petit larceny. This indictment alleges that Crohn entered a garage unlawfully and stole goods from the victims, totaling less than $1,000.

Frankie Morris Jr., 23, of Mountainview Gardens, Waynesburg, Pa., also entered a plea of innocence to his three-count indictment. Morris Jr.’s indictment charges him with felony burglary, misdemeanor petit larceny, and misdemeanor transferring stolen goods.

These charges allege that on or about September 15, 2012, Morris unlawfully entered the house of the victim, stole a Bond Arms Model BACD Derringer and J.C. Higgins 12 gauge Bolt Action Shotgun, with a value of less than $1,000, and transferred the Bond Arms Model BACD Derringer to another individual.

Each defendant’s case has been set for trial for July 29. Their next court date prior to trial is July 10, 9 a.m., unless they enter into a plea agreement prior to this time.

The state’s discovery was to be filed by June 17; the reciprocal discovery from the defense is to be filed on or before June 24, 2 p.m. Bond was set for $5,000 personal recognizance.
