School Board Honors Retirees

Twenty-seven retirees were honored at Monday night’s meeting of the Wetzel County Board of Education. The following retirees have a combined 876 years of experience:

William D. Aberegg retired as a vocational agriculture teacher at Magnolia High School before the start of this school year. Aberegg retired with 40 years of experience.

Mary S. Bissett is retiring as a classroom aide at the Wetzel County Center for Children and Families. Bissett is retiring with 16 years of experience.

Cora E. Bowers is retiring as a classroom aide at the WCCCF. Bowers is retiring with 24 years of experience.

Amy R. Cibik is retiring as a fifth grade teacher at New Martinsville School; she is retiring with 34 years of experience.

Barbara J. Daly is retiring as a music teacher at NMS; she is retiring with 23 years of experience.

Ronald A. Dennis is retiring as a social studies teacher at Long Drain School; he is retiring with 39 years of experience.

Richard G. Duffield Jr. is retiring as a health and driver education teacher at Valley High School; Duffield is retiring with 40 years of experience.

Rhonda Y. Fiest is retiring as an English teacher at MHS. She is retiring with 35 years of experience.

Kim J. Gongola is retiring as a special education teacher at MHS; she is retiring with 32 years of experience.

Dana L. Haines is retiring as a fourth grade teacher at NMS; she is retiring with 33 years of experience.

Bernice J. Hornbeck retired as a classroom aide at WCCCF before the start of this school year. Hornbeck retired with 13 years of service.

Terrell L. Jackson retired as a social studies teacher at MHS before the start of this school year; Jackson retired with 43 years of experience.

Twila S. Kinkade retired as a cook at Short Line School; Kinkade is retiring with 24 years of experience.

Lewis A. Kocher is retiring as a language arts teacher at NMS. Kocher is retiring with 35 years of experience.

Rebecca Meckley retired as a special education teacher at PCHS before the start of this school year; Meckley retired with 35 years of experience.

Rachel A. Melott is retiring as a second grade teacher at PCES. Melott is retiring with 35 years of experience.

David L. Pethtel is retiring as a reading teacher at LDS. Pethtel is retiring with 40 years of experience.

Mary Ann Pethtel retired as a secretary at Hundred High School before the start of this school year. Pethtel retired with 17 years of experience.

Stephen E. Rogalski is retiring as a fourth grade teacher at NMS. Rogalski is retiring with 39 years of experience.

Jeffrey L. Sands is retiring as a music teacher and choral director at LDS and HHS. Sands is retiring with 37 years of experience.

Jeanie L. Schupbach is retiring as a classroom aide at MHS; Schupbach is retiring with 31 years of experience.

April S. Stolfer retired as a mathematics teacher at NMS before the start of this school year; Stolfer retired with 34 years of experience.

John R. Tomaszewski retired as a guidance counselor at VHS before the start of this school year; Tomaszewski retired with 37 years of experience.

Joyce D. Watt is retiring as superintendent of Wetzel County Schools; Watt is retiring with 32 years of experience.

Steven M. Wayts is retiring as a bus operator for Wetzel County Schools; Wayts is retiring with 30 years of experience.

Betty J. Wilson is retiring as a kindergarten teacher at PCES; Wilson is retiring with 37 years of experience.

John P. Workman Jr. retired as a social studies teacher at MHS before the start of the school year; Workman retired with 41 years of experience.
