Pine Grove Appoints Justice As Its Mayor

At Tuesday evening’s special meeting of the Pine Grove Town Council, a resignation letter from former interim mayor Brian Price was read aloud. Price’s letter said he was resigning immediately.
Council member Tom Dulaney made the motion to appoint Roy Justice as interim mayor; council member Eva Adams seconded the motion. Both voted for the measure, while councilmen John Wells abstained from the vote. Councilman Dave Williams was not present.
It was also decided that Price’s name would be removed from the town’s checking and savings accounts, and Justice’s would be added.
Justice is a former councilman and ran for mayor in the last town election. At that time he lost to Incumbent Mayor Dave Barr. Barr resigned the post in December 2012. Reportedly Justice will seek election to the mayor’s job in the June election.
