County Commission Hires Group To Create Website
DeAnn Cummings of White Caps Creative Group appeared before the Wetzel County Commission March 13 to sign the agreement for the implementation of the commission’s website.
Cummings stated that she would need a work day to discuss, with the commissioners, the content of their website. President Don Mason stated that the commission would need to delay such for a few days because of the commission’s currently busy schedule.
Further discussion on the website included ideas on continuous revolving photos on the website and possibly picturing the county seal on the website.
In other matters, Larry Atwood of Travelers Insurance discussed a risk assessment he was going to perform. Atwood asked the commission several questions regarding county population, number of county employees, big industries in the county, and county employee policies.
Scott Hicks of Belomar Regional Council went over two waivers to be signed by the commission, regarding using excess Small City Block Grant funds from the Hundred-Littleton Public Service District Water Line Replacement Project.
It was decided that the remaining SCBG funds would be used for updates to the Hundred-Littleton PSD water treatment plant.
The letter they signed regarding “scope of work change” stated, “The original scope of work consisted of replacing deteriorated sections of water line to reduce the district’s water loss. Those problem areas have now been completed. There is approximately $49,000 in SCBG funds remaining. The PSD would like to use those funds for updates to their water treatment plant.” A resolution was passed on the matter at the March 19 meeting of the commission.
