The Wetzel County Courthouse’s clock is receiving a facelift. County Clerk Carol Haught reported Tuesday morning that the total cost of the project, being executed by Verdin Bells and Clocks, is $24,740. This cost covers the clock movement, clock hands, clock dials and controls, and frames for around each glass. The Wetzel County Commission was required to furnish the proper equipment for the job, thus the skidsteer and 135 foot man lift used for the clock restoration were rented to the county commission by Bridgeport Equipment and Tool.
