Riley Pleads

Summer Riley
Summer Riley, 28, of 187 North State Route 2, Villa Apartments, New Martinsville, pleaded guilty Monday in Wetzel County Circuit Court to count two of her indictment in case 12-F-126, delivery of oxycodone.
Per the term of Riley’s plea agreement, the remaining count in case 12-F-126, conspiracy to deliver oxycodone, was dismissed. This indictment was handed down to Riley from the September 2012 grand jury.
Riley had also been handed a one-count indictment from the January 2012 grand jury, which charged her with felony delivery of oxycodone. Per the terms of Monday’s plea, this case, 12-F-37, was also dismissed.
Riley confessed to delivering oxycodone on Aug. 27 of this year.
A pre-sentencing report is to be filed by Chief Probation Officer John Lantz. The state’s recommendation though is that Riley be sentenced to one to 15 years in the West Virginia State Penitentiary for Women. Furthermore, the state recommends that the execution of this sentence be suspended and that Riley serve one year of this sentence, followed by two years of probation. She would also be ordered to pay $200 to police.
Riley will return to court for her sentencing Feb. 7, 1:30 p.m.
