Hundred native and independent artist KK Miller entered The Antiquarian Librarian Breakthrough List at number nine with her recent album I’m OK With Me.

The Breakthrough List is based on the Roots Music Report charts for the week ending Sept. 28. Miller’s album debuted at number nine in the Top 50 True Country Chart.

Being included on this list is an honor and an accomplishment for Miller. “I am an independent artist and any recognition I receive is another step toward becoming a major performer,” Miller says.

With social networking, self promotion is ablaze and sorting through the hype to find authenticity can be a task. “I pride myself in being me, an honest country singer, singing real songs about life and I appreciate those who recognize it,” Miller states.

Miller, born and raised in Hundred and returning most every Fourth of July for her hometown celebration, relocated to Nashville in 2007 to pursue her singing career. After winning the West Virginia Idol talent contest in 2006, Miller went on to the fourth round of American Idol that year.

A reviewer has said, “KK can wrap her voice around a song in a natural way. You can hear a tear in her voice and a smile in the lyrics. Listening to her sing is like watching a great movie that makes you feel every emotion.”
