Charges Expected In Case Of Body Found At Park Laundroman

New Martinsville City Police Department Detective Donnie Harris stated the department believes arrests will be made in the case involving a body found in The Park Laundromat on Oct. 4.
Harris reported that evidence collected will be presented to the prosecuting attorney for review. Harris did not say what kind of arrests would be made, but that they would be “drug-related arrests.”
The detectives said the deceased has been identified, though he did not release a name. Harris did say the man was not local. “He was living in Sistersville at the time, but he was from Georgia,” he said.
It was previously confirmed that the incident involving the 24-year-old male occurred in the bathroom. “The person had gone in the bathroom and had been in there for a while,” Harris previously stated, “so they called, concerned about him.” Harris did not say whether the call was placed by a person who was with the deceased or by a bystander in the laundromat.
Harris said Thursday that the investigation is still ongoing at this time and that autopsy results have not come back yet, as they take six to eight weeks to complete.
