Pictured is a truck fire that occurred in New Martinsville Friday afternoon. New Martinsville Police Chief Tim Cecil reported that the brake lines and one tire both caught fire on a pipe-hauler operated by Baughman Tile Company of Paulding, Ohio. The truck was traveling south on state Route 2 near the Russell Avenue traffic light. Another accident occurred shortly thereafter, involving a northbound car and the tow truck that was on its way to get the truck involved in the fire. “They just collided. They scuffed,” Cecil reports, adding that no injuries occurred in either accident and there was minimal damage to all vehicles involved. (Photos by Bruce Crawford)
