Town and Country Days President Lonnie Blake couldn’t have asked for better weather for the annual county fair. Consequently the event held Aug. 13-18 at the Wetzel County 4-H Grounds enjoyed increased attendance in comparison to the 2011 event. “Attendance was up just a little bit every day. Overall it was really good — weather wise and attendance wise. It was surprising with the way the economy is,” admitted Blake. He continued, “I’d like to thank everybody for their help and support.” He said without the numerous volunteers and sponsors, the fair wouldn’t be able to offer all it does.
