The Student Senate of West Virginia Northern Community College will host a Meet the Candidates Night on April 19 at 6 p.m. on the New Martinsville Campus.

All candidates, along with the public, are invited to attend the event wherein tables will be set up for candidates to display and distribute campaign materials.

Additionally, a two-hour live remote radio broadcast, sponsored by the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce and provided by Power Country 99.5 FM, will feature the candidates for the positions of Wetzel County Sheriff, Assessor, and County Commission in a debate format. One half-hour will be allotted for each of the three named offices, with a remaining half-hour given to other candidates in attendance. The questions posed during the debate will be selected by the WVNCC Student Senate from those which the constituents submit that evening. Moderating the debates will be Eric Vincent.
