Board Of Education Okays Personnel Issues
The Wetzel County Board of Education approved several personnel matters during their Feb. 20 meeting. The following retirements, resignations, changes in assignment, and employment of county educators and staff are detailed alphabetically by school.
Long Drain School
Leslie C. Emch was approved for a change in assignment from the Reduction-In-Force/ Preferred Recall List to Second Grade Teacher at LDS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
Angela D. Greathouse was approved for a change in assignment from the Transfer/Subsequent Assistant List to Countywide/Itinerant Supervisory Teacher Aide-Special Education (One-on-One) (504/E) based at LDS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
Olivia L. Gump was approved for a change in assignment from Fifth Grade Teacher at LDS to First Grade Teacher at LDS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
Paul C. Huston II’s request for resignation from his position as Head Eighth Grade Boys’ Basketball Coach at LDS, effective Feb. 17, was accepted.
Kathy D. Mace was approved for a change in assignment from Custodian III (683/C) 228-day contract at HHS to Head Custodian IV/Painter (684/D-635/D) 261-day contract at LDS, effective July 1.
Susan L. Paden was approved for a change in assignment from the Transfer/Subsequent Assignment List to Countywide/ Itinerant Supervisory Teacher Aide-Special Education (One-on-One)(504/E) based at LDS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
Magnolia High School
Andrea M. Brewer’s request for resignation from her position as Assistant Girls’ Track Coach at MHS, effective Jan. 4, was accepted.
Mary L. Calvert’s request for retirement from her position as Art Teacher at MHS, effective June 30, was accepted.
John T. Daugherty (non-certified) was approved for employment as Assistant Girls’ Track Coach at MHS, effective the beginning of the 2011-2012 WVSSAC Season.
New Martinsville School
Brian J. Croasmun’s request for resignation from his position as Head Seventh and Eighth Grade Girls’ Basketball Coach at NMS, effective at the end of the 2011-2012 WVSSAC Season, was accepted.
Michael J. Findling was approved for a change in assignment from Half-time on the Reduction-In-Force/ Preferred Recall List and Half-time Physical Education/ Health Teacher at MHS to Full-time Physical Education/Health Teacher at NMS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
Stacy K. Hooper was approved for a change in assignment from the Reduction-In-Force/ Preferred Recall List to Reading Intervention Teacher at NMS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
Elisa N. Sprowl was approved for a change in assignment from Title I Reading Teacher at SLS to Reading Intervention Teacher at NMS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.

Charlene S. Hindman was approved for a change in assignment from Fourth Grade Teacher at SLS to Third Grade Teacher at PCES, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.

Vance E. Ash (non-certified) was approved for employment as Assistant Girls’ Softball Coach at PCHS, effective the beginning of the 2011-2012 WVSSAC Season.
Robert G. Postlethwait (non-certified) was approved for employment as Seventh/Eighth Grade Girls’ Track Coach at PCHS, effective at the beginning of the 2011-2012 WVSSAC Season.
Short Line School
Barbara L. Yeager was approved for a change in assignment from the Transfer/Subsequent Assignment List to Countywide/ Itinerant Supervisory Teacher Aide-Autism mentor (Special Education)(503/D) based at SLS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
Valley High School
Ralph V. Gainer II was approved for a change in assignment from Daytime Custodian III (686/C) 228-day contract at SLS to Evening Custodian III (683/C) 228-day contract at VHS, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 228-day calendar.
Debra D. Kocher’s request for resignation from her position as Head Girls’ Track Coach at VHS, effective immediately, was accepted.

Denise L. Poling was approved for a change in assignment from the Transfer/Subsequent Assignment List to Countywide/Itinerant Supervisory Teacher Aide-Early Start (Special Education)(504/E) based at WCCCF, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.
