The following routine matters were approved by the Wetzel County Board of Education during their regular meetings held Jan. 3 and Jan. 17.
Jeremy M. Roush’s request to attend the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Convention in Philadelphia, Pa., from Feb. 20-24 was approved. This trip is funded through Medicaid travel funds.
The request from Jackie Jenkins, Jade Spencer, Mollie Toppe, and Kelly Yoho, all of Short Line School, to attend an Orton-Gillingham Multi-Sensory Education Training in San Francisco, Calif., from March 5-9 was approved. This trip is funded through the Title I Program and with the Special Education Department.
The request from V. Tad and Ashley Greene for their daughter, Caroline Grace Greene, to attend the Wetzel County Center for Children and Families for the 2012-2013 school year was approved, pending release from Marshall County Schools.
Lastly, Bartolo Cannizarro, Clare Cannizarro, Marianne Hughes, and Dan Henthorn were approved as chaperones and/or volunteers for Magnolia High School.
