Memorial Day Services Set

Paden City Park and Pool Commission, the American Legion Family of Paden City Post 86, and Sistersville combined Honor Guard will hold Memorial Day Services on May 30.

The American Legion will hold services at Paden Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m. with American Legion Post 86 Commander Bill Anderson in charge of the ceremonies.

The Park and Pool Commission will have a program on the main stage in the Paden City Park beginning at 11 a.m. The invocation will be given by the Reverend Dave Edwards of the Paden City Nazarene Church. Mayor Bill Fox along with Art Oger, Post 86 Adjutant, are the scheduled speakers. Music will be provided by Chris McGinnis.

The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion will place flags on Veterans’ graves at Paden Memorial Gardens on Wednesday evening, May 25.

Flags will be available at the Paden City Recorder’s Office during business hours May 25-27 while supplies last for those who wish to place flags on the graves at other cemeteries.
