At the Pine Grove Town Council meeting held May 9 the proposed renovations to the Byrd Park which were to include the addition of a new baseball field were pulled.

However in other matters it was learned blacktop will soon be spread in the areas from in front of the post office to the Church of God. The project is now out for bid.

It was also announced the start date for early voting has changed to June 1, 2011. Election day for the Town of Pine Grove is June 14.

Lastly, Council also agreed to freeze the water and sewage rates.
