A Tyler County man died April 27 sometime in the afternoon as a result of serious injuries suffered during a tree-cutting accident, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Emergency crews responded to the scene by all-terrain vehicle before pronouncing the man dead.

Officials did not release the victim’s name as of the evening of April 27, pending family notification.

The Tyler County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the accident.
