Wyatt Arrested For Robbery
Justin Raymond Wyatt, 22, was arrested Dec. 5 by the New Martinsville Police Department on a warrant for strong-arm robbery for an incident in September.
While Wyatt had been named a person of interest in the Nov. 21 armed robbery at the New Martinsville Budget Inn, Detective Donnie Harris clarified Wyatt has not been charged for that incident.
In fact, Wyatt is charged with strong-arm robbery for an incident in September when allegedly Wyatt and two others robbed an individual at Bruce Park in New Martinsville. Earlier this year Jaynathan Earl Jones, 20, was charged as one of the three offenders and remains in the Northern Regional Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Police are still looking for a third suspect.
After receiving a tip of Wyatt’s whereabouts, New Martinsville Police Chief Tim Cecil, New Martinsville Patrolman Friend Estep, and Paden City Police Chief Michael Billiter made entry into a residence on Franklin Street in New Martinsville Sunday afternoon where Wyatt was taken into custody without incident. He is presently being held in the Northern Regional Jail under a $20,000 bond.
Both cases remain under investigation. Anyone with information on either case is urged to call the NMPD at 304-455-9100.
