New Pastureland In Downtown?

By Staff | Dec 24, 2008

Some city property in downtown New Martinsville served as pastureland Dec. 17 as a wayward gelding was found in town. It led Chief of Police Tim Cecil from North Street to the city building, where city employees came out to greet the town’s new resident—but only for a while. Owner Frank Walker of Doolin came to retrieve his animal that had gotten out of its containment. The incident resulted in no charges, just good conversation for a day or two.
