A fire at a home on the northern end of New Martinsville, on the west side of W.Va. 2 just north of the former 84 Lumber location, destroyed the building Tuesday afternoon. An emergency personnel said the occupant was taken from the scene with some smoke inhalation issues. The main north-south thoroughfare was closed for some time during rush hour traffic.
